Kyra Thompson

This week on “The Beernuts Productions Podcast” Kyra Thompson swings by the studio for a fun chat with gough. Kyra has been performing since she was little and she tells us about her younger days trying dance, music, singing, drama and finally choosing acting as her number one passion. She tells us about her musical theatre degree and her love of musical theatre, plus she gives some great advice in regards to breaking down a script and getting ready for an audition. Kyra also talks about the difference between working in theatre and on film. She also has started up a YouTube channel and has made a range of entertaining shorts and she talks about how hard it is to come up with new content and put it all together, while trying to be a bit different and stand out from the crowd. Amanda speaks about her early years as an artist and how she got her start and what inspired her. Amanda also chats about the kids’ books she’s illustrated and how that process works. After illustrating other people’s books, Amanda has now decided to write a children’s book of her own and she talks about that process and the challenges that brings. Adam Sheppard

This week gough chats to Adam Sheppard, former wheelchair athlete, coach and disability advocate. They start off by chatting about Adam’s decorated athletics career, his transition into coaching and why he enjoys that aspect of sport so much. Adam then talks about how he trains his wheelchair athletes and the different training methods he uses. Adam and gough then chat about his company InvincAble, a business he started up to help empower people with disabilities to live their best lives. He also chats about workshops he holds for businesses to assist with inclusion and accessibility within the work place.
